🀄Runes

Chertia features a custom magic system that works through runes applied to your items. These rune items can be acquired through quests and trades, or they may appear on your items randomly. Most runes have beneficial effects, but some are harmful.

Runesmith

Located in Emberlyn, the Runesmith will take one of your items and apply a random rune to it for a price. It will take around 24 hours for the Runesmith to apply the rune, so you'll need to come back the next day to collect your item.

🎯 Bullet

On right click, the user shoots a 'bullet' projectile.

💨 Burst

On right click, gives the user a burst of speed.

⛈️ Capricious

On right click, changes the weather.

🥛 Cleanse

On sneak, removes all potion effects from the user.

🧗‍♀️ Climbing

On sneak + jump, temporarily increases the user's step height.

🐮 Cownnon

On right click, the user shoots an exploding cow.

💢 Critical

The user is guaranteed a critical hit.

🔥 Emboldening

On right click, the user becomes emboldened for 15 seconds.

🟣 Enderblight

On attack, the user will deal extra damage to Endermen, Endermites, and Ender Dragons.

💧 Extinguish

On sneak, extinguishes the user.

❄️ Freeze

On sneak + attack, the victim is slowed. With higher levels, the victim may become completely frozen.

🍃 Gust

On right click, a sudden gust pushes the user and anything nearby into the air.

⛏️ Hasten

When mining, there is a chance the user will receive the haste effect.

⛓️‍💥 Instability

On attack, there is a chance the attack will rebound and damage the user & item. However, normal attacks are boosted.

🥾 Leap

On sneak + jump, the user is thrust into the air.

❤️ Lifesteal

On attack, the user will regain some health.

🧭 Locating

On right click, dropped items around the user will begin to glow (or stop if they are already glowing)

🧲 Magnet

On sneak, any nearby items are magnetized towards the user.

🎣 Netting

On fishing rod reel in, the user has a chance to catch 2-3 of the same type of fish.

🧿 Pearl

On right click, the user shoots an ender pearl.

🦀 Reaching

On right click, temporarily extends the user's reach for block interaction.

🥊 Recoil

On attack, the user will also be knocked back.

🌊 Repel

On sneak + attack, entities around the user are repelled.

🚀 Takeoff

On taking off with an Elytra, the user is given a significant boost and the slow falling potion effect.
